I always love returning to shoot Buxted Park wedding photography especially when I get to work with great couples like Verity and Andrew. Living locally to Buxted, when it came to planning their wedding location, for Verity and Andrew, there was only going to be one winner, Buxted Park!
Earlier in the year I met with Verity and Andrew at Buxted Park to have a look around together and for them to have some pre wedding photographs. I have photographed numerous weddings at Buxted Park over the years and know it well, so the pre wedding Buxted Park photography shoot is for my wedding couple to get a feel for how their wedding day will go and to have some fun photographs together.
This Palladian mansion set in Sussex’s finest parkland is a stunning wedding venue. But I’ll get back to all the things I love about shooting Buxted wedding photography in a minute. Let’s start at the beginning of Verity and Andrew’s day.
I started with Andrew and the guys. I arrived to witness the men struggling with a cravat or two. When suit jackets were on I took shots of Andrew and the guys outside and of Andrew with his powerful and stylish BMW car.
Shortly after, I departed for Buxted Park and I arrived early so I could take some shots of Verity as she made her final preparations. Verity looked amazing in her traditional wedding dress, the train giving her a great silhouette against the window in the Winston Churchill room. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn surrounded by a panoramic view Sussex’s finest parkland. Take a look at my images (the full gallery is at the bottom of this blog). I think you’ll agree that Buxted Park takes some beating when it comes to magnificent views of the Sussex countryside. Flower girl and page boy duties were diligently performed by Verity and Andrew’s gorgeous children.
The wedding reception was held in Buxted Park’s stunning chandeliered ballroom and after a sumptuous wedding breakfast there were some very well received speeches with the entertaining and vivacious Marc from Buxted Park on hand with tissues at an emotional moment during Verity’s father’s speech! Marc has a wonderful talent for being able to emphasize his French accent to not only entertain but to simultaneously keep the wedding proceedings organized, the people where they need to be at the right time, and everything running to schedule.
During the drinks reception and between courses there was much amazement and laughter as the guests were entertained by the talented close-up magician Kevin Morton Magician
In the afternoon the sun came out and I leapt on the opportunity to make the best of the light to take some great portrait shots of Verity and Andrew set around the magnificent grounds of Buxted Park whilst Verity and Andrew’s guests enjoyed drinks, chat and milling around this gorgeous venue.
Evening entertainment was kick started with the cutting of a very impressive wedding cake and a romantic first dance and it wasn’t long before Verity and Andrew were joined on the dancefloor by family and friends.
As the sun set I quickly whisked Verity and Andrew outside to take a gorgeous sunset shot of the two of them. It is one of my favourite images.
Before taking my leave I took a shot of Buxted Park all lit up for the evening and with Verity, Andrew and their guests inside partying it seemed a fitting image to close the story of their day.
A stylish wedding full of love and laughter. Congratulations to Verity and Andrew for getting married and creating a wonderful day for yourselves, your family and your friends to remember. I hope my images will allow you to relive your day again and again for many years to come and couples getting married at this Sussex wedding venue see what opportunities there are for Buxted Park wedding photography.
