I have recently given this website a little design tweek, and in the process of reviewing my archives for venue shots to illustrate these pages, I came upon a night shot of Penshurst Place, Kent.
Often the speeches or the first dance will coincide with that time of day when there’s still blue in the sky but dark enough to have the lights illuminate the building. But on this occasion, a September wedding, I had opportunity to nip outside and capture the magnificent building illuminated and framed by tress and evening blue sky, during that gap after the meal and before the first dance.
Anne and Matthew’s wedding was a wonderful occasion. Anne left from the Spa Hotel, Tunbridge Wells and arrived at Penshurst Place in a silver Mercedes. The ceremony was held in the Sunderland room. An upper room at Penshurst with attractive stone walls, wooden panels and oil paintings.

The wedding breakfast was served in the magnificent Great Hall. The gallery in the hall provided an upper vantage point from which to take aerial photographs of the meal and do so completely unnoticed by the guests.
Following the cutting of the cake music and dancing was enjoyed by all.
