Last week I was in the New Forest for the wedding of Michaela and James and the evening before the wedding I was treated to a wonderful English summer scene: cricket on the village green at Lyndhurst. The pitch was bathed in warm evening summer sunshine, a barbecue was being cooked at the thatched roof cricket pavilion and the sound of church bells could be heard in the distance. It was idyllic.
